How to read this tool
Links and published statements checked September 9, 2026. We have not contacted agencies, tested intake or confirmed your eligibility. A listed form does not establish current processing capacity or remaining funds.
Fictional example
Status example: an official page can list a provider while its local application window and remaining funds are unknown. The listing is still useful for finding the responsible agency, but it is not an approval or a promise of payment.
Calculations and filters run in this page. This tool does not send your entries or save them automatically. Your browser may restore fields. Changing page or language can lose your entries. Downloads stay on your device; keep them private. Do not enter names, account numbers or other identifiers.
Reading and resource links work without JavaScript. Calculators and filters need JavaScript; the controls remain unavailable if the tool cannot load.

What a verified listing means
We checked the official page and recorded what it supports. Program existence, a published application route, confirmed intake, funding and a future announced date are different facts. Unknown means we did not verify that fact; it does not mean you are ineligible or that no help exists.
Most records confirm information or a route to seek help. The Pierce County entry carries a published closure and future date. No record confirms an award to a particular household. The national locator extends the search beyond this limited pilot.
Check the service area and the current page
County boundaries and utility service areas can differ. Match your county, city boundaries, utility provider and program before using a form. Tacoma utility discounts and Pierce County energy assistance outside Tacoma are separate routes.
Open the official page again before planning around an opening or visiting an office. September 9, 2026 is our check date, not necessarily the agency’s publication date. A budget allocation or agency plan does not itself open household applications.
Prepare a question, not a duplicate application
Use the document field as a starting point, then follow the agency’s current instructions. Ask which household members and income period count, which proof is needed now, and what can be provided later. Requirements differ by program and case.
This directory has no document upload or application submission. Do not enter Social Security numbers, immigration papers, bank credentials or account identifiers here. Keep reference numbers and copies from any official application privately. Assistance with insurance enrollment does not itself establish an enrollment period or coverage start date.
If a deadline or shutoff notice is already pending
Use the official program or utility contact route shown by the linked source and explain the date on the notice. This directory cannot pause a disconnection, hearing, appeal or renewal deadline. A closed program may have different emergency or referral options; their availability must be checked separately.
An absent listing is not a denial. Use the state-agency locator or another official local office to continue looking. Keep any written decision and its own response instructions; browsing here does not file an appeal.
