The editor checks the report against the relevant source and identifies the affected program, place, household category and period. A reported error is not treated as confirmed solely because a message or AI answer says so.
When an error is confirmed, the correction must cover connected explanations, tables, examples, tool notices and translations as needed. We record what changed and why. A material change should be explained where readers need it; it must not silently activate a future calculator rule.
What an update does and does not mean
An editorial correction is not necessarily a new agency announcement. We keep the source publication date, verification date and effective date distinct. If a source cannot be checked, we state the uncertainty instead of saying that no change exists.
We do not promise a response or resolution time. A correction to our website does not amend an agency record, appeal a decision or restore coverage.
Protect your details and keep your next step moving
Do not send Social Security numbers, case numbers, diagnoses, medical records, passwords or application documents. A page address and an official public source are enough to start a review.
Do not delay an application, renewal, appeal or response while waiting for us. Follow your official notice and contact the agency or an appropriately qualified professional when your case needs individual attention.
You can help with a page address and a short description. You do not need to explain your personal situation.
Copy the address of the page and the wording that is unclear or may be wrong.
Add a public official source, if you have one. Say which program, place or period it concerns.
Open your email application, review your message, then choose whether to send it.
Do not include case numbers, identity documents, medical details, passwords or application files. This page does not send your message. A draft opens in your email application; review it before sending.
Do not wait for our reply if a deadline is close. Use the agency contact on your official notice. This email address is not an emergency service.
A short message you can use
Page: [paste the public page address; leave out personal details]
Language: English
Wording or link to check: [describe briefly]
Official public source, if available: [link]
Program, place or relevant period: [if known]
Opening a draft does not send it. Check it in your email application.
What happens next
The editor checks which statement and languages are affected. A report alone does not confirm an error.
If an important statement cannot be relied on, the affected text can be limited while a checked official contact remains available.
A prepared correction must be checked in all four languages. A link that opens is not a complete review of a program.
Correction register
This register describes website content. It does not change your application, deadlines or an agency decision.
No entries have been added to this register yet. This does not mean the site has never had a correction. Earlier changes may be recorded on the updates page.
